From $200 Shoes to Only $4 – Adidas & Airola Shoes of China Video

May 9, 2013 at 7:30 AM ET – Some people drop serious money on a pair of sneakers, either because of the brand, or what they assume is the quality. After all, how good can a $5.00 pair of shoes cost? A new video uploaded to Youtube might just surprise you.

In the video, a man speaking Russian can be seen showing off a new pair of Airola brand shoes from China, which retail in Russia for the United States equivalent of four dollars. The man in the video then uses a small pair of scissors to snip the Airola logo off of each shoe’s tongue, revealing an Adidas logo. So what might have otherwise sold in Moscow stores for $200.00 is only a few bucks.

As of yet, there’s no word as to whether the Chinese factory making those shoes violated their contract with Adidas by simply changing the logo so they could ship them inexpensively to other countries. Watch the unveiling video, skip to the 40 second mark to watch the logos being cut off.
